The Space Ensemble emerged on the national scene as an ever-changing musical ensemble, formed as a result of various musicians coming together over the course of several editions of the Space Festival, an event dedicated to improvised music that began in 1999.
What sets the Space Ensemble apart is the way it blends its musical language – inspired by various genres, particularly jazz and improvised music – with a multidisciplinary artistic approach. It is based on exploring the rapport between the musicians involved, testing and varying the instrumental and stylistic combinations according to the venues and the context of the events.
