Continuing the screening of documentary works related to and about Setúbal, this edition will bring forward four more films, produced in different times in the last century. These works include three parts of the documentary “Setúbal”, made in 1930 and produced under the sponsorship of the Setúbal Municipality, offering a valuable and fascinating testimony of our history and evolution over the years.
Eisenstein intended to make a film symphony, a film serape or Diego Rivera Mural of the seventh art. 'I wanted to show a timeless Mexico where the past was merged with the present'; but the shooting stopped abruptly because the funding was cut, and although they promised to send the material, never received it and he died without being able to conclude with his own hands one of his great works.

BLUE RIVER CITY
A fictional documentary, this is a work for the tourist promotion of the region, made during the “Marcelista spring”, period where we can discover Setúbal from fifty years ago. In addition to the use of colour, it is notable for its comedic tone, evident in the actor’s performances, among whom is the actor and comedian Vítor Mendes.
