Described by the director himself as a “photonovel”, La Jétée is considered one of the most influential science fiction films, challenging the very concept of cinema as a moving image. Using the narrative resource of photomontage, it tells a post-apocalyptic parable with a simple concept - a man is forced to travel through time to find a solution to the fate of humanity. However, this dark journey also offers us a sophisticated reflection on time, childhood and memory.
La Jetée is more than a film, it’s a revolutionary experience of enormous creativity, which, crossing several arts, perfectly represents the innovative spirit of the Nouvelle Vague. Its experimental nature and aesthetic modernity offers the ideal canvas to recreate a new sound landscape for the film.

Tó Trips is, admittedly, one of the most interesting Portuguese musicians of the last decades and has been present in the most innovative and exciting projects of the national alternative musical. For almost 20 years, he was half of Dead Combo, which he shared with Pedro Gonçalves. Recently, he embraced a new project, Club Makumba. Throughout his career, he also developed an original approach to solo guitar, having released the albums Guitarra 66 (2009) and Guitarra Makaka (2015). Popular Jaguar (2023) is his most recent work.
The music that influenced him — and so many others that he was discovering — at the pace of a curiosity that age has sharpened are without predefined directions, which takes us as quickly to punk/hardcore or jazz, as to Paredes' guitar, but always with a common thread – the sounds that influenced his composition.
Nuno Calado is one of the ambassadors of Rock in Portugal, a radio host with 30 years of experience, the creator of the Indiegente, a program on Antena3 radio, of which he is one of the founders, where he presents the most alternative and current sound on the radio. On this station he participated in several programs, such as "Rádio Clube" and "MP3". He was, alongside Fernando Alvim, the first host of the radio program "Prova Oral".
